How To Install Android 4.4 KITKAT In Your Android Smartphone



if you are an android user, then you must be excited about android 4.4 KitKat. The newest android OS 4.4 KitKat has been unleashed with the arrival of Nexus 5. But what about other android users that are not using the Google Nexus 5 ? Rather than installing a custom ROM for android 4.4 kitkat, there is a quicker and safer option. The good folks at XDA developers has already ported the android 4.4 launcher from nexus 5 and is now available in easy to install android 4.4 kitakat.APK file. 



How To Download and Install Android 4.4 KITKAT Launcher On Your Jelly Bean Smartphone 

So, before we proceed this will only work as long as you have jellybean 4.1 or above.If you do have it, then here is what you need to do to install android 4.4 kitkat launcher on your android smartphone. 


1: Enable third party app installation : 

Enable third party app installation by checking the Unknown Sources box under Security in Settings. 



2: Download the .apk files : 

Download(Click Here) the 25 MB kitkat launcher package, its a zip file, so you’ll need to extract three apks files on your computer and copy them to your device. You can also download this package on your mobile and can extract these apks using third party app like Unzip . 



3: Install the .APK files : 

Install the three files on your smartphone in this order , PreBuiltGMSCore.apk, Velvet.apk then GoogleHome.apk 



4 : Open the launcher 



Now your new android 4.4 kitkat launcher in installed and ready to use. You get a fresh new interface that gives access to your app, widgets and settings with just a long tap and other great features.
